I’m sure you thought I was going to post about Christmas and I will soon, I promise.  In the meantime, here’s a little look at Nia’s room make-over, which was 6 months in the making.  We’re really trying to limit how much stuff we buy (especially furniture) so it’s not as matchy matchy as I’d like, but she’s happy with it and that’s all that matters.
We went with the ever-popular wall decals for decoration.  The Princesses were a must and I added a castle to balance it out on the other side of the room.
Thanks to her Grandparents and Aunties, Nia received a boatload of goodies for her birthday (October) and Christmas.  They got her set up with an imaginary play area including a kitchen, table, baby bed and dress-up clothes.  She’s way into it.
Here’s a close-up of her dollies and dresses.
And here’s her stylin’ new Ikea kitchen.  Her favorite part is that the burners light up!
We’ve done our best to organize the rest of her puzzles, games and figurines into these shelves. Â Overall, I’m pleased with it. Â We managed to create a space that encourages play but isn’t overly cluttered. Â That’s it for now folks. Â More soon…
Adorable!
