One of the things I love most about Malawi is how wholesome and old-fashioned it is. I see so many examples of Nia engaging in the kind of dramatic play I did in my childhood… spending the entire day creating the perfect My Little Pony kingdom, building awesome lego structures and one of my personal favorites – putting on performances! I was recently treated to one of their skits. They had even created their own backdrop by stringing Easter eggs on a wire (which I thought was pretty darn creative)!
Michelle introduced the show and brought out Evelyn the Hula Dancer (aka Moana).
Then came Michelle the super heroine.
And finally, out came Nia the pirate!
There was lots of crazy giggling and they were moving so quickly I could barely get pictures. I wasn’t able to identify any kind of plot line but man were they having fun!
Of course there was a big bow at the end for the entire cast! And lots of clapping from Mom. :) A fun time was had by all…
