A Christmas Vignette

“Mom, we’ve talked about this before.  I’m too busy to have my picture taken.  Please leave me alone.”

“No, I’m really serious this time.  Go away.  This is your final warning.  I mean business.”

“You asked for it.  I didn’t want to go all paparazzi on you, but now I have no choice.  Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

“God Mom, you are such an energy drain.  Why can’t you just leave me alone to play in peace.  Mr. Bunny, blanky and I were having such a nice time together before you had to come in and ruin it all.”

“Mom, if you snap one more picture I swear I’m going to throw Mr. Bunny at you.  No joke.”

“What’s that you say?  If I don’t cooperate I won’t be able to watch Elmo later?  Why do you always have to play dirty?  Fine, you win.  Take the stupid picture.”

“You can make me stand by the tree and force me to smile but just try and get me to look at the camera.  No matter how hard you try, I always get the upper hand.”
