If you’ve spent any time with Nia, you know that there are 3 people/things she talks about incessantly. The first is Elle, her BFF who is only 1 month older than Nia. These two run the Malecon all day long fighting over toys and shrieking with joy over their latest discoveries.
Next up is Nico, who could be best described as her other BFF/boyfriend. These two are beyond adorable.
You never know what kind of adventures they’re going to get into together…
And last but not least, the dogs of the Malecon. Nia has single-handedly befriended every dog to ever set foot on the Malecon. She is on a first-name basis with not only the dogs, but their owners as well.
Take this group of ladies, for example. They are what you’d call doggie nannies. Each is employed to take care of a specific dog. Most days you can find them sitting in groups on the Malecon. Nia visits them each and every day. She gives them a kiss on the cheek and they, in turn, hand over their leashes to Nia so she can talk their dogs for a walk.
These women know her now, but honestly, I am amazed at how many complete strangers hand their dogs over to my 1 year old! That girl puts a spell on people, I tell you… all it takes is one little smile and an “holaâ€.
Nia’s always looking to increase the challenge of things. Recently she’s been taking on both larger breeds (who often pull her over) and multiple dogs (none of whom want to move in the same direction). I never fail to be amused by her shenanigans.
So there you have it. These are the things that rock my daughter’s world. I hope you’ve enjoyed this little peek into Nia’s day-to-day life.
So sweet!
Adorable! I think that poodle is almost as tall as she is!
I love reading your posts. Nia is adorable
