Greetings Blog Readers – I am THRILLED to unveil our new souped-up blog, NOVAKISTAN! Â I’ve been craving a fancy blog like this for quite some time and finally had the guts to go for it this weekend. Â After 20 hours of technical work and a major code recovery from technical wizard Nona Jordan of The Business Yogini (I got a nasty Parse Error that she fixed), I am finally on my way.
In the spirit of “Better Done than Perfect”, I am launching this site before all the final tweaking has been done. Â I figure that will make the user experience more fun. Â You may just show up one day and something has moved or changed colors. Â Going to be really honest, this is hard for me but I’m embracing the motto of Imperfect Action is ALWAYS better than PERFECT INACTION! Â Agreed?
The element I am most proud of is the header, which I created all by my little-old-self in Photoshop Elements! Â I’ve never done anything like that before and boy was it fun! Â Technology blows my mind… especially when you can figure it out just by playing around!
Sarah, I love the new site! You are right, Thesis is awesome — you are going to love it. I learn new stuff about Thesis all the time. It is incredibly powerful… congratulations on getting the new blog up and doing such an awesome job!!!
xoxo
Congratulations on the spiffy new web site! And congrats on embracing the sentiment that Done Is Better Than Perfect — love that! Looking forward to keeping up with your adventures.
I’ll get the hang of it eventually. I may need some lessons in DC!
Thanks Shana…
Congrats, Sarah, looks great. Hope to join you soon in unveiling the new site.
Thanks Hiromi – can’t wait to see yours. Is it for business or pleasure?
Great new site Sarah :) will continue to follow your adventures in and around the country, stay happy :)
Will do, thanks John!
Congrats on the new site! I LOVE the name!
Thanks! Me too…
It’s for both. I’ve decided to consolidate everything I do into one place, so blog, cooking classes, translation so far, hope to add more tabs as my interests expand.
Hi Sarah, thank you for this post. It helped me in formulating my own welcome to my new blog post as well. I hope you don’t mind!
